IBF/WBO/WBA heavyweight belt holder Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) will have to stop running around the ring at some point while working as number two against WBC champion Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) – and start fighting, because for mobility and “just boxing” he will allegedly not be counted on points. Mike Tyson stated this.
As the famous veteran put it, “Usyk can’t run forever: Tyson will corner him, land a few punches, and finally shock him.”
“He [Усик] will run around the ring all evening. But he has to stop and fight to win this fight. At some point, he will have to stand up and fight,” Mike said.
ID Boxing about what he thinks Alexander needs to do to have a chance of beating Tyson. “He can’t run away and box all the time, they won’t give him back for this decision.”
According to Mike, the audience and, probably, the judges, will not appreciate Usyk’s work as the second number.

“They want to see a fight,” he said. Fury will win and I think Tyson should fight more. He has very long downtime between fights. I fought 15 times a year. I strongly believe that he should fight four or five times a year.”
At the end of winter, promoter Frank Warren (Queensberry Promotions) told how negotiations are going for the Usyk-Fury fight. Why Fury and Usyk cannot agree on a fight, another promoter, the head of Matchroom Boxing, Eddie Hearn, also knows.
The boxer from Ukraine seems to have an option with Deontay Wilder in case of a breakdown in negotiations.
