Dustin Poirier replied to Islam Makhachev

UFC lightweight number two, Dustin Poirier, has made it clear he’s not averse to sharing the Octagon with reigning division champion Islam Makhachev, who is trying to figure out who will be his next opponent.

“Who is next?” the Russian fighter wrote on the social network.

“How are you?” the American replied, turning to the UFC champion.

Last November, Dustin Poirier got his career back on track with a third round rear naked choke finish against Michael Chandler. Thus, he closed the defeat from Charles Oliveira, to whom he lost by choke in the title confrontation.

Brilliant, who remains the only fighter in the top five who does not have a scheduled fight, has previously spoken about returning to the octagon for a title fight or a big cash showdown.

Islam Makhachev made his first successful defense of the championship belt ten days ago, at UFC 284 in Perth, defeating the organization’s best fighter Alexander Volkanovski by unanimous decision.
