Former world champion American puncher Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) does not hide the fact that he is interested in a fight with ex-UFC champion Francis Ngannou (17-3), a native of Cameroon.
The contract with the promotion ended for the African, and the parties did not agree on the terms of the new deal. Ngannou does not hide the fact that he plans to continue his career in boxing – there are still much more solid fees.
Britons Tyson Fury, Derek Chisora, Dillian Whyte and Anthony Joshua have already announced their desire to fight the best MMA heavyweight.

interested such an option: “These conversations began a long time ago. They first started when he was still with Dana White. I personally discussed this fight with White. And I told him that if it makes financial sense, then I’m very interested. If he’s ready, then let’s do it. Nothing has changed since then. I’m still interested. And I would like to do it in Africa.”
Wilder claims he will take two fights in a row with Ngannou. To make everything fair, he is ready to hold the first fight according to the rules of boxing, and the second in the octagon: “Let’s agree on two fights. We see only movement in one direction – MMA fighters go to boxing. Let’s do this: you try yourself in my sport, and I will try myself in yours. I’m still a warrior and I’m talking about it in all seriousness. As soon as all these fights between boxers and MMA fighters started, I wanted to do something special. I wanted to do things differently than everyone else.”
Wilder does not hide the fact that he has no experience in MMA, but if necessary, “I will definitely prepare to give the fans what they want. Let’s stir this up!”
Wilder’s next fight is expected to be against compatriot and ex-world champion Andy Ruiz in the final WBC eliminator. American Michael Hunter called this fight a long toothpick versus small marshmallow, and an independent promoter believes that Ruiz can knock out Wilder.
