Former dual UFC champion Daniel Cormier agrees with Dana White, who two days earlier said he did not consider Fedor Emelianenko the greatest heavyweight of all time.
“I don’t think Fedor is the greatest heavyweight of all time,” the American said in the latest edition of his ESPN analytical show. “I think this title belongs to Stipa Miocic, and only because Cain Velasquez had so many injuries. In terms of skill, no one could match Cain Velasquez at heavyweight.”
“I believe Stipe Miocic’s title defenses and his long reign put him at the top of the list of the greatest heavyweights. But Fedor is in the top five, and I don’t think there’s anything shameful about that.”
Last weekend, Fedor Emelianenko made an unsuccessful attempt to take away the Bellator heavyweight championship belt from Ryan Bader, playing the American with a technical knockout in the first round. After the fight, the 46-year-old Russian heavyweight officially ended his professional career, leaving his gloves in the center of the cage.
