Contender for the vacant UFC heavyweight title, Jon Jones, won’t reveal his weight to anyone until he steps on the scales ahead of his fight against Cyril Gan.
“Yes, it is – I want it to be a big surprise for Cyril when he first sees me,” the American fighter said in an interview with John Morgan. “About four months ago, I felt that my physical size and strength corresponded to heavy weight”
“I tried to prepare for the fight with Francis, I did a full training camp preparing for the fight against Stipe Miocic, and now we have Cyril Gan. I have been ready for a long time, I have been training non-stop for three years now, and I am glad that I finally have an opponent.”
The heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Cyril Gan will headline UFC 285 in Las Vegas on March 4. At stake will be the vacant UFC championship belt, vacated by Francis Ngannou, who left the organization.
