Former UFC middleweight title contender Paulo Costa commented on Khamzat Chimaev’s statement that four potential opponents have already turned down a fight with him.
“Does anyone else believe in this nonsense?” the Brazilian wrote on the social network.
Earlier, the statement of the Chechen fighter that he could not find an opponent was ridiculed by the fourth number of the UFC welterweight division, Belal Muhammad, who once again confirmed his readiness to fight Borz.
Like Muhammad, Costa has repeatedly stated that he is ready to fight against Chimaev, whom he nearly fought in the UFC PI hall four months ago.
Paulo Costa was supposed to fight his next fight on February 12 at UFC 284 in Perth against Robert Whittaker, however, last week the fight was officially canceled because the organization failed to agree with the Brazilian.
As for Khamzat Chimaev, he plans to return to the octagon on March 4 at UFC 285 in Las Vegas.
