Stéphane Bonnar died due to heart problems
UFC Hall of Famer Stephan Bonnar died due to heart problems at the age of 45.
UFC President Dana White commented on the tragedy:
“Stefan Bonnar was one of the most important fighters ever in the octagon. His fight with Forrest Griffin changed the sport forever and he will never be forgotten. The fans loved him, were close to him, and he always gave them the best. He will be missed.”
Note that Bonnar spent 15 fights in the octagon, won 8 wins and lost 7 times. He last fought in November 2014, losing by split decision to Tito Ortiz.
