Roy Jones Jr. is approaching a possible collaboration with ex-world heavyweight champion Briton Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) as his potential coach in all seriousness and responsibility, which has already thought out a plan for how AJ regain his confidence and return to the top of the division.
Roy previously revealed that he and Joshua agreed to try out in the gym and then decide whether to continue together or go their separate ways.
“We talked to him, and I have a plan for him,” Jones said in an interview.

At the same time, Jones is sure that now Joshua needs someone simpler than Tyson Fury, Alexander Usyk or Deontay Wilder:
“You have to go up against guys who are not up to Usyk or Fury. We need two good fights to get up to speed again, and these will be good fights, not at all pleasure. And after that, we will either go for Usyk or Fury.”
