Bournemouth International Centre, Bournemouth, England. In the light weight limit (up to 61.2 kg), a promising British
Caroline Dubois (5-0, 4 KOs), younger sister of WBA World heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois, left no chance
Sofia Rodriguez (5-8, 1 KO) from Argentina.
Already in the opening round, Dubois cornered Rodriguez, kneading with accented hooks. The opponent did not respond with blows for blows, and the referee decided that it was time to act – he stopped the fight.
Caroline is good, quickly adapts to profibox. It’s time to raise the level of opposition.
Dubois TKO 1.
In the light weight limit (up to 61.2 kg) in the “prospect-clash” (this is a joke, if anything) the unbeaten Britons were brought together
Corey Gibbs (17-1, 3 KOs) and
Jimmy Fast (14-0, 4 KOs).
41-year-old Fast won, but he was simply lucky. Gibbs started the fight great, controlled the distance, outplayed the opponent. And then he started…losing his mouth guard. And he did it so often that he earned three penalties from the referee and, perhaps, deserved to be disqualified.
The third in the ring strongly disliked Gibbs for this – he gave the victory to Fast with a score of 76-73.
Fast PTS 8.
