The return of UFC heavyweight Alexander Volkov to the octagon is postponed indefinitely due to the emergency hospitalization of the Russian fighter.
“This is me in the hospital, now at home!” Drago wrote on the social network, posting a photo in the hospital room. “I decided to go to wrestling training in the morning and jiu-jitsu in the evening. After wrestling training, I ended up in the hospital with all the signs of appendicitis, which was removed by highly qualified doctors!”
“Conclusion: wrestling is not mine, we continue to work out the stance. The bad news is that the fight that I’ve been waiting for so long will be postponed for another period of recovery from the operation! And, of course, thanks to the doctors for prompt professional help!”
This year, 34-year-old Alexander Volkov had two fights, losing by lever arm in the first round to Briton Tom Aspinall, and knocking out Surinamese Jairzinho Rozenstruik in the first round. At the moment, the Russian takes the eighth line in the UFC heavyweight ranking.
