Bob Arum: “I smoke marijuana at home, and Hearn in the USA is a laughingstock”

The relationship between the legendary American promoter Bob Arum and his progressive British colleague Eddie Hearn is neither good nor bad. Rather, they are just workers for them – functionaries are ready to cooperate to organize fights, but at the same time, in the public plane, over and over again they give each other verbal slaps in the face.

So, recently Hearn advised the public not to pay much attention to what Arum says, since he “is not all at home because of his addiction to smoking marijuana and eating products with cannabinoids.”

Bob, never hiding this habit, didn’t leave Eddie’s comments unanswered.

“Well, I do like to eat something with cannabinoids and I don’t make excuses for using marijuana,” says Arum. “But I don’t drink when I’m working or giving interviews. I do it at home in the evenings, in my own private world. So it’s all just another Eddie Hearn crap.”

“Believe me, Eddie Hearn is considered a laughingstock in the States,” the mighty grandfather goes on the offensive. “Ask any promoter and they’ll tell you that Hearn is rubbish. DAZN gave him a billion dollars to take over the American market, and what did he do? Flushed all the money down the toilet. So if you want a joke, tell us about Hearn and his work in the States.”

“One of Eddie’s problems is that he’s always minding his own business,” Arum continues. Everything concerns him, everything concerns him. He predicts how much PPV a fight he has nothing to do with will bring in. Isn’t it better to focus on your fights than gossip about others? But no. As soon as there is a microphone in front of his nose, he can no longer control himself and starts to talk about everything indiscriminately.
