British heavyweight, WBO interim title holder Joe Joyce (15-0, 14 KOs) will not hesitate to fight with compatriot and WBC world champion Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs), if he has some due to the fact that the duel for the absolute with the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) will not grow together.
“Of course I want to fight Fury,” Joyce said. – It’s a tough fight. He and I had some great sparring rounds and he is now the best in the division. Fury is a good man and a strong fighter, I would gladly accept this challenge and fight him. Can I beat him? Oh yeah. I’m sure I can do it.”
“As I said, we sparred with him, and it was very competitive,” continues Joe. “With his skill set, it will be a difficult fight, but I am not just a boxer. I am competitive and I want to get to the top by beating the best of the best. So yes, I will fight Fury.”
Recall that at the end of last week, Tyson held a successful title defense, beating Derek Chisora for the third time, after which he publicly yelled at Usyk.
Joyce won the “interim” title in late September by stopping former New Zealand champion Joseph Parker at the close of the fight.
