Former UFC light heavyweight champion, Glover Teixeira, shared his opinion on the upcoming title fight between Magomed Ankalaev and Jan Blachowicz, which will play out for the vacant belt vacated by the injured Jiri Prochazka.
“I think Ankalaev will win this fight,” the Brazilian said in an interview with MMA Junkie. “I believe Jan has a chance. He has knockout power and I thought Ian would lose to Adesanya but he came out and surprised me. I feel that Ankalaev will win, but I hope for Jan to win. I like this guy and I think he deserves it. Let’s see how things turn out”
Teixeira, who refused to fight Ankalaev at UFC 282 in Las Vegas after the cancellation of the fight with Prochazka, expects to meet the winner of this confrontation.
“This is the plan: I keep training, stay focused, work hard, enjoy life, and wait for a call from the UFC. We will find out who will become the champion, if they will let me fight him and when.
Recall that the UFC 282 tournament, the main event of which will be the light heavyweight title fight, will be held on December 10.
