Mentor Malik Scott claims that his star ward ex-WBC heavyweight champion American Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) will knock out the current division leader Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs).

By
words Scott, “Wilder is the strongest heavyweight in the world. It is for this reason that his fight with Usyk is interesting to me. After all, I know how good Alexander is. But despite this, I believe that, purely biomechanically, Usyk will not be able to cope with everything that Wilder offers in the ring. I think it’s just physically impossible, it’s not humanly possible. Especially since he’s going to have to face it round after round.”

As you may have guessed, Scott is referring to the unrealistic punching power of the ward: “Here’s the thing … Usyk is a great boxer from a technical point of view. Believe me, no one here in the US respects him as much as I do. Yes, he’s a slippery techie. But note that after each fight, he has traces of missed blows on his face – abrasions, bruises, scratches, bruises. And this means that he is not invulnerable at all. Yes, he misses punches. And how is he going to avoid Wilder’s punches all 12 rounds? He can’t slip away forever. He will definitely miss. After all, Wilder is not just power. It’s fast power.”

But for now, the boxer from Ukraine has other concerns. In Britain, they suggest that Usyk can “throw out” the IBF belt. And although the promoter of the Ukrainian claims that the fight with Fury is not in danger at the moment, we think differently why the IBF decision threatens the fight.
