British ex-heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) has no doubt that in the next few years they will fight with another former American champion Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs).
Referring to Wilder himself, Joshua suggested that at this point in his career, Deontay would look to compete with the best fighters in the division.
“Wilder said that he was going to perform for a few more years, and he might want me to become one of his rivals,” the Briton reflects. “So now that he really wants it, our fight will definitely take place. He is a little older and wants the final stage of his career to be successful. Wants to fight some of the top names in the division. So yeah, I’m sure he’ll be happy to fight me.”
Meanwhile, the WBC has officially scheduled a fight between Wilder and Andy Ruiz, the winner of which will become the official contender for the title. And Ruiz revealed exactly how he would knock out Wilder.
