Igor Poterya and Mauricio Rua will meet in the octagon on January 21, 2023
Ukrainian fighter Igor Loss (18-3) will fight with the former UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio Rua (27–13–1) nicknamed the Shogun.
The fight has been officially confirmed to take place on January 21, 2023 at UFC 283 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Brazilian Mauricio Rua will turn 41 in November, and most likely, this will be the last fight of his career. His goal is to retire with a win after two losses in a row. In May 2022, Rua lost to Ovins Saint Preux of the United States and was knocked out by Paul Craig of Scotland in November 2020.
26-year-old Ukrainian Igor Loss, nicknamed the Duelist, made his debut in the UFC unsuccessfully. in July 2022 he was defeated by Nicolae Negumereanu of Romania. Then the fight ended in the 2nd round with a technical knockout, and now Loss wants to win his first victory in the UFC.
