American super-middleweight prospect Stephen Nelson (17-0, 14 KOs), who has not entered the ring for a long time, is the sidekick of compatriot Terence Crawford (38-0, 29 KOs) of the WBO welterweight champion.

He
told his version of the reason for the failure of negotiations between Crawford and the owner of the remaining belts of the division, American Errol Spence (28-0, 22 KOs): “Terence agreed to fight for 40% of the prize fund, but gave the go-ahead even for 35%. Despite this, they still did everything to prevent the fight from taking place. Crawford wanted to stay active, so he agreed to fight David Avanesyan in December. At first he offered to fight Virgil Ortiz, but he was refused.

Nelson suggests that “Spence is already gearing up to run away from Terence to junior middleweight. You yourself have seen his tweets. He’s also under pressure from mandatory challenger Jaron Ennis. And he doesn’t really want to meet him in the ring. Remember when Spence, when he was still a prospect, challenged Keith Thurman to a fight? Where did that energy go when it came to fighting Crawford and Ennis?”

Yesterday, Ennis reacted to the disruption of the Spence-Crawford fight – they demand a fight with Errol. Meanwhile, the alleged rival of Spence is announced. And he’s cooler than Thurman. Errol doesn’t know much about Avanesyan: “I don’t know who it is. I’ll go up to the 1st middle.”
