On September 4, as part of the boxing evening in Los Angeles, the main event of which was the fight between Andy Ruiz and Luis Ortiz, 22-year-old American junior middleweight prospect (up to 69.9 kg) Joseph Spencer (16-0, 10 KOs) defeated previously unbeaten Mexican
Kevin Salgadooutboxing him on points in ten rounds (UD 10).

Shortly after the fight, Spencer announced that he was ready to move to a qualitatively new level and listed the desired opponents for the next fight.

“I have a few ideas about who I want to fight next,” says Joseph. – These are Tony Harrison, Tim Tszyu, Erickson Lubin and Sebastian Fundora. I want to fight the best. There is only one reigning champion in our division (Jermell Charlo) so we have to fight each other to get to him.”

In turn, Tszyu announced a couple of months ago that he was going to beat Charlo with spears.
