Farmer and Bay changed their minds at the last minute: what happened?

Findlay Toyota Center, Prescott Valley, Arizona, USA.

It was expected that in the main event of the evening in the light weight limit (up to 61.2 kg), two rarely speaking local ex-world champions would fight: Tevin Farmer

(30-5-1, 6 KOs) and Mickey Bay (23-3-1, 11 KOs).

The duel never took place, and the whole event could end in a serious scandal at all – there is a risk of falling under the distribution Arizona Athletic Commission.

The show began, after which it became known that there would be no main battle. Bay and Farmer announced this on social networks. They say it’s all about finances. – we managed to collect very little from the sale of entrance tickets (the hall turned out to be half empty) and paid broadcasts. The fighters allegedly promise to return everything to the audience.

The joke of the situation is that Farmer and Bay blame some mythical “promoters” for the failure of the show – they didn’t exist at all, the event itself was an idea exclusively of boxers.

Lots of questions for the Athletic Commission. They gave the go-ahead for the show, not paying attention to a number of problems: the organizers used a third-party license, the absence of money (prize fund) in deposit accounts, they did not require a certified fee for the event.

The undercard fights are still in effect.

In the limit of the second bantamweight (up to 55.3 kg) American Tremaine Williams

(20-1, 6 KOs) defeated the gatekeeper from the Philippines with great difficulty Jethro Pabustana

(31-10-6, 9 KOs).

Underdog was penalized for low blows. The duel turned out to be competitive. The judges gave the victory to the favorite: 95-94, 96-93 and 97-92.

Williams UD 10.

In the featherweight limit (up to 57.2 kg) Keenan Carbajal

(24-3-1, 16 KOs) from the USA, as expected, knocked out the not very resistant Brazilian
Aelio Mesquito (21-8-1, 19 KOs).

Carbajal KO 3.
