Gennady Golovkin (42-1-1, 37 KOs) from Kazakhstan, the holder of the WBA and IBF middleweight titles (up to 72.6 kg), elegantly walked away from the request to compare his former and current coaches – respectively, Abel Sanchez and Jonathon Banks .

Golovkin is sure that these specialists simply cannot be compared.

“Comparing Abel Sanchez and Jonathon Banks is simply impossible,” says Gennady. – They have a completely different approach to the training process, and I can say that I am very happy with Jonathon. I’m happy that I have the opportunity to work with him.”

Recall that on September 17, the Kazakhstani is scheduled for the third fight against the Mexican Canelo Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs).

Here is what Golovkin says about the importance of the upcoming event:

“The trilogy is something big, historical. It’s very hard to see a rematch between fighters these days because it’s just not interesting. When it comes to a trilogy, it means that people demand it, that you are on the same level as the legendary boxers, that you are part of history. You feel proud and happy. It does mean a lot.”

Meanwhile, a well-known legend predicts that Canelo Alvarez will beat and knock out Golovkin in rounds 6-7.
