Olympic medalist Tokyo (Japan) British heavyweight prospect Fraser Clark (2-0, 2 KOs) visited the training camp of former division champion compatriot Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs). Clarke is pleased with what he sees. He assumes that on August 20 in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) Joshua will be able to get even with the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) for the September defeat in London (England).

According to Clark, “Joshua works under near-perfect conditions. He had a 12-week camp at Loughborough, after which he went to Jeddah. And if you have such ideal conditions behind your back, if you yourself have not been idle in your work, then there are no obstacles on the way to victory. You yourself know the simple physics of boxing: if you miss more than one blow to the jaw in a row, then you will end up on the floor anyway. It doesn’t matter who is opposite. Especially since Joshua’s punches are very fast and heavy.”

Clarke has no doubt that “Joshua can knock out Usyk. He has everything for this. You just need everything to be balanced on the night of the battle: both tactics and psychology. I like what I saw. He prepares for battle the way a contender should prepare. With God’s help, everything will work out.”

Clark shared an amusing take on Joshua’s coaches Robert Garcia and Angel Fernandez working together: “They get along really well, they speak Spanish. I must admit, it would be very interesting to know what they are talking about. I constantly thought about it. But Joshua is comfortable with them, and that’s the main thing. Garcia is the experience, and Fernandez is the youthful vigor. I would not say that there is a head coach and his assistant. They really sang together and work together.”

Meanwhile, David Haye explained why he puts on Joshua in a rematch with Usyk. But another British legend thinks otherwise: “Usyk will do it again.” So how will this fight end? A hefty cruiser challenger shared his opinion.
