British big men Derek Chisora (33-12, 23 KOs) and Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) are not without reason “according to the classics” spinning a potential third face-to-face fight. It turns out that it can take place before the end of the year – in December on the eve of Christmas.
First, Fury told that Chisora offended him terribly and announced his desire to kick his ass for it. Derek, as befits a tough guy, accepted the offer.
Chisora manager David Gansa (from the company 258 MGT star Anthony Joshua)
toldthat negotiations have already begun: “The Tyson team has already reached out to us with a proposal to discuss the terms of a potential fight that could take place at the end of the year. We have only had preliminary talks. And we will meet soon to discuss everything in more detail. It would be a great fight for Britain. Their contractions have sold well in the past. We’re thinking about filling up some stadium around Christmas time.”
There is one serious problem in the duel Fury vs Chisora 3 – the complete lack of intrigue. Tyson confidently defeated Derek twice in 2011 and 2014. Now these fighters occupy different places in the division hierarchy: Fury is the king, Chisora is the (albeit elite, but) gatekeeper.
Interestingly, the promoter Eddie Hearn, who collaborates with Chisora, has already commented on this news (Matchroom Boxing). According to him, the chances that the fight will take place are very small. However, what else can he say?
Chisora scored the most iconic victory of his career last month. In August, he plans a trip to Saudi Arabia – he will be in Joshua’s corner during a rematch with Usyk. Hearn had previously named four options for Chisora.
