British promoter Eddie Hearn continues to insist that the third fight between Canelo Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs) and Gennady Golovkin (42-1-1, 37 KOs) is bigger than the upcoming confrontation between Errol Spence (28-0, 22 KOs) and Terence Crawford (38-0, 29 KOs).
Hearn has previously stated that the Golovkin-Canelo fight is 10 times bigger than Crawford-Spence.
Now he has issued a new batch of comparisons.
Spence Crawford – what a fight! And none of them even made average PPV numbers,” says Hearn. “When it comes to a guy like Canelo who is constantly making 600k, 700k, a million PPV, we are talking about global reach. And we cannot compare these fights (Spence-Crawford and Canelo-Golovkin 3).”
“In boxing, in this community, they (these fights) are much closer than on a global scale. In boxing, these are two incredible fights. But in one of them two legends will meet, and in the other two outstanding elite champions, ”said the promoter.
Recall that the Alvarez-Golovkin 3 fight is already scheduled for September 17 in Las Vegas (USA), while Crawford and Spence are still negotiating.
