The popular American welterweight veteran Nate Diaz (20-13) would like to change the octagon to the ring – he is aiming for a boxing match with compatriot showman Jake Paul (5-0, 4 KOs). Not everything depends on the fighter, because he is still on a contract with the UFC.

Diaz is unhappy with the promotion and demands that his contract be terminated. Looks like UFC boss Dana White doesn’t mind. Meanwhile, Paul is looking for an opponent – it is expected that he will hold his next fight on August 6 at the iconic arena Madison Square Garden in New York (USA) on TV channel Showtime PPV.

Diaz demanded via social networks: “Let me go or give me a fight in July-August. Do you think I have more f*cking things to do?” For greater persuasiveness, the brawler hinted at a fight with Paul, inserting a video clip into the message:

Ufc release now please or give me fight with anyone in July or August

Promotion boss comments: “I like Nate. But let’s go garlic. He has one win in the last 5 or 6 years. He is one of those who have been with us for a long time. We respect such fighters, we care about them. We want everything to be fair. But you need to be honest not only with veterans, but with absolutely all fighters. So I can’t offer Diaz a title fight with Kamaru Usman. We try to offer the best we can. We try not to fool anyone, but there are facts. He won one fight in five years. And from this we will dance in negotiations with him. I think the best thing for him right now is to fight Paul. There will be at least some sense in this fight.”

Diaz reacted to White’s words: “Send me a contract termination document.” And again hinted at the desire to try his hand at boxing:

Send the release

But more recently, White called Diaz among the potential rivals for Khamzat Chimaev. And they also remember Nate when they talk about who Conor McGregor will fight after returning to the octagon.
