Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov shared his prediction for the title fight between Charles Oliveira and Dustin Poirier.
“About two days ago, I think I was watching an interview with Mike Brown, Dustin’s coach,” Nurmagomedov said in an interview with the ESPN YouTube channel. “And he said interesting things about the red zone. You cannot enter the red zone of Oliveira. Because this guy is a real finisher, he is very dangerous. If Dustin can pull Oliveira into the deep ocean like he promises, then he wins. But if he moves quickly, Oliveira will have a chance. And so – I think 60 to 40 in favor of Poirier. Because he has cardio and he has spirit. But Charles is very, very dangerous. Now he is a real champion. A very interesting fight for me.”
Oliveira will face Poirier on December 11 at UFC 269 in Las Vegas.
