UFC Fight Night 183 co-main event
On the night from Saturday to Sunday in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA), the final UFC tournament in 2020 will be held at the UFC Apex home mini-arena. UFC Fight Night 183 (or UFC Vegas 17) does not have any really big names on its card, but it is one of the deepest promotional events in recent times with 13 scheduled fights.
In the second most important bout of the show, former longtime UFC featherweight champion Aldo will fight his third fight in the bantamweight division against Vera.
Aldo is on a three-game losing streak. After losing on points to Alexander Volkanovski and Marlon Moraes, he received a title shot. In July at UFC 256, Aldu fought Petr Yan for the vacant bantamweight title and was beaten by the Russian in the fifth round by TKO.
Vera has been in the UFC for over six years, but he won his biggest win so far four months ago. In August at UFC 252, the Ecuadorian unexpectedly knocked out top prospect Sean O’Malley in the first round. The victory was for “Chito” the sixth in the last seven fights.
Prediction for the fight
Aldo has always been famous for his Muay Thai skills and is a black belt in BJJ. Vera also has a black belt in this martial art, and he is also a dangerous striker.
Aldo has lost a lot of physical strength in recent years and may not be as motivated as he used to be. He noticeably lost in speed and endurance, as well as stamina. The longer the fight lasts, the more chances Vera has to win. We assume that the Brazilian will not be able to knock out Vera, who suffered all six of his defeats on points, and as a result, Marlon will be able to take over due to his activity.
