Marcio Santos expressed his opinion about a possible confrontation with Magomed Ismailov. The Brazilian announced his intention to defeat the Russian ahead of schedule. The only condition: Santos must receive 5 million rubles for the fight with Ismailov.
“I don’t know what this word is, what it means, but I like its pronunciation – “five lams,” Santos told SE. “So let’s fight Maga. He’s a complete jiu-jitsu pit but he has a very good wrestling. I’m ready. For me, the main goal is to finish, to beat Maga to show that he is very bad at jiu-jitsu.
Santos also spoke about a telephone conversation with Ismailov the day after defeating him.
“Our conversation was very simple. We laughed, we talked. As a man of the Magician, I am very attracted to. He has the same bald head and beard as I do. Perhaps we can call it a fight of the bald. I like the way he runs his Instagram, his jokes. We joked, laughed and challenged each other to a fight.”
Santos defeated Emelianenko with a choke hold. The fighters fought in the main event of the AMC Fight Nights 106 tournament, which took place on November 27 in Syktyvkar. Immediately after the victory, he challenged Ismailov to fight.
