The newly-made absolute lightweight champion (up to 61.2 kg) American Devin Haney (28-0, 15 KOs) is not yet thinking about the possibility of changing the category, since there are still enough attractive options in his division, and cutting extra pounds is now much easier for him, than before.

Recall that on June 5, Devin confidently outboxed the Australian George Kambosos on the territory of the opponent. According to the American, the invitation of a specialist in charge of weight loss and control played an important role in his success.

“Usually I take a sauna and a bath, that kind of thing. But this time I didn’t have to do anything. I ate well throughout training camp, during the week of the fight and even before the weigh-ins. I wasn’t even close to starving, Haney assured. “And it has borne fruit. It showed up in the fight because I wasn’t exhausted or anything like that.”

“Before, before many fights, I didn’t do the right things to cut weight. But this time, I appointed a professional to guide me and be with me 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You saw the result with your own eyes,” added Devin.

Haney also said that next he will have, if not a rematch with Kambosos, then a fight with Lomachenko.
