The Russian champion will not return to the octagon
UFC President Dana White has announced that lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has officially retired.
“29-0, that’s right. He is 100% officially retired. It was incredible to watch you work Khabib, thank you for everything, enjoy everything that comes next my friend,” White wrote on Twitter.
Recall that in October 2020, Nurmagomedov announced his retirement after defeating Justin Gaethje.
After that, White met with Khabib several times and tried to convince him to return to the sport, but this did not bear fruit.
29-0 it is.
