Dana White scheduled the fight
Today, March 19, Khabib Nurmagomedov finally retired from MMA. Following his decision, the UFC lightweight title became vacant.
According to ESPN, the head of the UFC Dana White has appointed a fight for the belt. The title will be played by the third number of the rating, the Brazilian Charles Oliveira and the fourth number, the American Michael Chandler.
The fight will take place on May 15 at UFC 262.
Recall that in October 2020, Nurmagomedov announced his retirement after defeating Justin Gaethje. He has 29 wins and no losses in MMA.
