Co-main event at UFC on ESPN 21
On Sunday, located in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA), the UFC Apex promotion center will host the UFC on ESPN 21 tournament, also known as UFC Vegas 22. We will not see stars of the first magnitude at the tournament, but there will be some potentially explosive fights.
Ty Tuivasa – Harry Hunsaker
In one of the fights of the main card, we are waiting for a meeting of two heavyweight finishers Tyi Tuivasa (10-3) and Harry Hunsaker (7-3), who, on a weekly notice, will replace Don’Tail Mayes, who dropped out for undisclosed reasons.
Tuivasa briskly started his career in the UFC with three wins, two of them by knockout and one by points over former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Orlovsky. But then the native of Sydney had a black streak, and he lost three fights in a row – to Junior dos Santos, Blagoy Ivanov and Sergey Spivak. In October 2020, Tuivasa, returning after a year of inactivity, saved himself from being fired from the UFC by knocking out and retiring Stefan Struve in the first round.
Hunsaker had his last fight recently. On February 27, he knocked out a certain Corey Moon in 45 seconds, which closed the loss from the future UFC fighter Jared Vanderaa and won the HRMMA regional promotion belt. Note that all of Hunsaker’s fights ended ahead of schedule – out of 7 wins, 3 by knockout and 4 submissions with three TKO losses.
Prediction for the fight
Tuivasa is a typical heavyweight puncher. He relies on his kickboxing, heavy punching and strong chin. He is physically strong and is not so easy to transfer to the ground.
Hunsaker is a dark horse. The American is a versatile fighter, if as a grappler he is better than his opponent, then in the stand he completely loses to him. We believe that Tuivasa will not allow himself to be transferred to the ground and will record another victory for KO in his asset.
Tuivasa wins by knockout in the 1st round
