Nick Diaz targeting UFC return in 2022, sends message to Kamaru Usman: ‘I think I can beat you’

Nick Diaz wants to get back in the Octagon this year. He is looking for the best opportunity.

The UFC star told TMZ Sports that he plans to fight in 2022 and is currently training to make that a possibility.

“I’m working on the end of the year,” Diaz said. It’s my work .”

Diaz did not initially name an opponent and said he was concentrating on himself. However, he opened up to talk about a possible scenario that would allow him to return to boxing Canelo alvarez. Diaz mentioned in the past wanting to face the multi-division champion boxer, but it was UFC’s current champion Kamaru Usman who has been trying to get Canelo to a lucrative crossover bout.

Diaz will continue to fight whenever he is back in the ring.

“I’d rather fight for a title,” Diaz said. “If I’m gonna fight, I want to fight for a title.”

“They want me to tell them if they want to fight a lot of guys, but I say, “You know what? It’s a bigger battle if you skip all the chaos,” Diaz said. I don’t wish to get my sex rubbed by any of these young men.

” It’s not like I will not win. I just don’t feel motivated to fight someone that’s… I would like to be 38 old .”

Diaz was asked then if he had any message for Usman. He responded with a concise and confident challenge.

“I think I can beat you,” Diaz said. I’d be thrilled if they would give me another chance. I think I can beat you.”
