Yesterday in Tuscaloosa (Arizona, USA), local legend Olympic medalist and former WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay “Bronze Bomber” Wilder (42-2-1, 41 KOs) attended the grand opening of his statue.
The 36-year-old big man was very emotional during the event and promised to resume his career soon – he had not entered the ring since October last year, when he lost by knockout in the 11th round to the reigning British champion Tyson Fury.
“Now I just can’t stop there. I must continue my journey. Now I just can’t help it. I have to keep boxing,” the champion squeezed out.
Wilder shared videos and photos with subscribers. It’s nice to see the ex-champion in such high spirits. We willingly believe that this event will restore his former motivation to return to the top.
Earlier, the president of the WBC spoke about Wilder’s comeback – it is possible that he will soon fight again for the title of the organization. Wallin is ready to challenge the belt with the American puncher. But the legendary Mike Tyson believes that Wilder should fight Usyk.
