Another absolute champion, this time in welterweight (up to 66.7 kg), should be decided before the end of this year.
The owner of the WBC / WBA / IBF titles, American Errol Spence (28-0, 22 KOs), is sure of this, expecting a fight against compatriot and WBO champion Terence Crawford (38-0, 29 KOs).
“I think it will happen, we will fight,” said Spence. “I definitely want this fight. Really want to. I think we will fight until the end of this year. I hope that it will be like that. Why? Because I want it and he wants it too. By the end of this year, we must determine the strongest.”
“This is a huge fight for both of us,” Errol said. “Well, I just don’t see any barriers. I want this. He wants it. I have three belts, he has one. I only need one belt to be the undisputed welterweight champion.”
Crawford: “First Spence, then I’ll beat the crap out of Charlo”
