Even though he won over Gilbert Burns, KhamzatChimaev was not satisfied at the moment.

On Monday, UFC’s undefeated welterweight published a behind the scenes video that documented the 48 hours prior to and after Burns’ win at UFC 273.. The footage begins with Chimaev’s weight cut and extends through the end of his fight night experience, including an intimate look at Chimaev’s immediate reaction to the biggest win of his MMA career — and the disappointment both he and his coaches shared with his performance.

” I feel sorry for my coach,” Chimaev, a bleeding Chimaev stated after a fight in the VyStar Veterans Memorial arena’s locker room. They work with me. I made many mistakes, Go back and watch my fight, like I always do. I’ll work harder, have more energy. Black belt is what I require — grappling, striking, ground and pound, wrestling, grappling. Everything is possible now. There are two ways I feel happy: one is mad and the other is true.

“I’m mad because I couldn’t finish the guy.”

“Experience,” replied one of Chimaev’s coaches. “You have to beat them with being smart, with a strategy.”
