Former UFC strawweight champion Weili Zhang regained her championship belt with a stoppage victory over Carla Esparza at UFC 281 in New York.
The women’s title fight, which became the second most important event of the numbered event, ended at around 1:05 of the second round after the Chinese woman from the crucifix position managed to finish the American by rear naked choke.
Defeated, Esparza not only lost the title, but also ended her own six-win streak, while Zhang scored a second stoppage victory in a row.
