UFC president to hold slapping championships

UFC President Dana White is expanding his promotional activities with the launch of the Power Slap League, a championship slapping organization set to debut later this year.

Details were revealed last Tuesday during a meeting of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, which gave permission and will regulate this sport.

Dana White starts a slapping league with her longtime friend and business partner Lorenzo Fertitta. TUF show producer Craig Piligan and UFC Vice President Lawrence Epstein are also founding members.

No details have been released on the exact launch date for the Power Slap League, but a tentative debut show is slated for November or December. The event will take place at the UFC APEX arena in Las Vegas.

Note that the news came three years after Dana White first showed interest in slapping championships by posting a video of the Russian show “Stone Faces” on his social networks.
