The UFC 262 tournament was held in Houston at the Toyota Center arena. Tony Ferguson and Beneil Dariush met in the co-main event of the lightweight tournament. For Ferguson last year turned out to be extremely unsuccessful: he first lost to Justin Gaethje, and then to Charles Oliveira. Beneil, on the contrary, approached the fight on a series of six victories.
The fight turned out to be one-sided: Beneil Dariush dominated for three rounds and took the victory. Ferguson showed resilience, withstood a painful hold on the heel in an incredible way, but in general he looked weak. Apparently, El Cucuy’s time in the UFC has come to an end.
