Robert Whittaker vs Paulo Costa at UFC 284 in Australia

Former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker will fight his next fight on February 11 at UFC 284 in Perth against Paulo Costa.

The organization of the fight was officially announced by representatives of the UFC.

Robert Whittaker, 31, got his career back on track in September with a unanimous decision win over Marvin Vettori. Seven months earlier, the Australian made an unsuccessful attempt to take away the title from Israel Adesanya, who lost a unanimous decision after five rounds.

Paulo Costa, 31, last fought in August, defeating former division champion Luke Rockhold via unanimous decision. Prior to that, the Brazilian fighter suffered two defeats in a row, losing by technical knockout to Israel Adesanya, and losing by decision to Marvin Vettori, and before the fight against the Italian, he could not cope with the weight race and the fight took place in the light heavyweight category.

Currently, Robert Whittaker and Paulo Costa occupy the first and sixth lines in the UFC middleweight rankings, respectively.
