UFC Fight Night 208 Tournament Match

The fight will take place on July 23 in London (UK) at The O2 Arena and will be one of the main ones at the UFC Fight Night 208 tournament. The estimated start of the fight is 23:30 Kyiv time. The fight will be broadcast live on Setanta Sports.

Rushing to the top British lightweight Paddy Pimblett (18-3) will face his American colleague Jordan Leavitt (10-1) in the tournament.

Former Cage Warriors featherweight champion Pimblett made his UFC debut last September with a first-round knockout win over Luigi Vendramini. Pimbellt fought his second and so far last fight in the league in March at The O2 Arena in London, stopping Rodrigo Vargas by choke in the starting five minutes.

Leavitt is on a two win streak in the octagon. In December, he choked Matt Sales in the second round, and in April he defeated Trey Ogden by unanimous decision.

Prediction for the fight

Many have long predicted a great future for Pimblett in MMA. “Buddy” is different in that it successfully operates both in the rack and on the ground. He is an explosive and energetic fighter.

Leavitt may look like a passing opponent for him, but the American is clearly not easy. This is a high IQ fighter who acts methodically and deliberately. Leavitt can be dangerous on the ground, so it’s reasonable to think that Pimblett will try to build on his success on his feet. Some of Leavitt’s inconvenience should cause some problems for Pimblett and probably lead to the fact that the fight will go all three rounds.
