Named the opponent of Alexander Usik after the cancellation of the fight with Tyson fury

After the cancellation of the scheduled fight against Tyson Fury, the reigning WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk will make a mandatory defense against Britain’s Daniel Dubois.

This was officially announced by representatives of the WBA, saying that the parties have 30 days to conclude a deal. The fight between Usyk and Dubois was supposed to take place earlier, but the World Boxing Council allowed the Ukrainian boxer to negotiate with the Gypsy King.

Daniel Dubois, 25, won the WBA regular world title in June last year by a fourth-round knockout of American Trevor Bryan, and in December he successfully defended his belt by knocking out South African Kevin Leren in the third round.

Oleksandr Usyk, 36, successfully defended his titles last August, winning a split decision against Anthony Joshua.

Earlier it was reported that Tyson Fury’s next rival could be his compatriot Joe Joyce, who owns the interim WBO title.
