Darren Till answered Khabib about Chimaev

A friend and sparring partner of Khamzat Chimaev, Darren Till, commented on the statement of Khabib Nurmagomedov, who criticized the behavior of the Chechen fighter at the weigh-ins for the UFC 279 tournament, and his entourage.

“Khabib failed the weight race five times, although he seems to be all around good people,” the Briton said in an interview with ESPN. “And if Khamzat and I are having fun and fooling around a little on camera, does this mean that I am a bad person, or that his coaches are bad people?”

“For example, his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach is one of the best grapplers of all time, but he is not a Muslim. Does that mean he’s a bad person? I respect Khabib as a person and as a fighter, but I can’t respect him for comments like this. And other people too”

The previously undefeated Russian fighter suggested that Chimaev’s indecent gestures at the weigh-in were unacceptable for a Muslim, and also pointed out the absence of Muslims in Borz’s entourage.

Chimaev also did not ignore the criticism addressed to him, responding to the former UFC champion on social networks.
