Ali Isaev signed to Bellator

Five days after Ali Isaev was rejected by the UFC, the undefeated Russian heavyweight became a Bellator MMA fighter.

This was officially announced by the president of Bellator, Scott Cocker.

“Our heavy division has become even deeper with the addition of the undefeated Ali Isaev to it,” the head of the MMA Fighting organization quotes. “I know he hasn’t fought since 2019 so we’re looking forward to getting him back in the cage as soon as possible.”

In December 2019, 38-year-old Ali Isaev became the winner of the PFL Heavyweight Grand Prix, finishing with a fourth-round technical knockout of Jared Rosholt in the final match of the competition. Together with the championship belt, the Russian received a check for one million dollars.

Last year, Isaev dropped out of the PFL season without receiving a medical clearance to fight against Brazilian Henan Ferreira.

The Russian comes to Bellator with nine professional victories to his credit, four of which he won ahead of schedule.
