WMMAA / News / West German Open Amateur MMA Championship 2017
On May the 6th GAMMAF promoted the amateur sport by hosting their annual West German Open Amateur MMA Championship. The event took place in a modern school sport arena in Wittlich and offered several competition areas for more than 150 participants out of more than 50 Gyms across the states. The event started at 8 am with an official weigh in, a thorough medical examination and a detailed rules-meeting. Afterwards the fights started in a tournament system in Grappling and MMA in the categories A-Adult, A-Junior and C-Junior. After six hours of action the following results in the finals stood firm:
MMA: A-Adult, Bantamweight
1st place: Mohammed Makraou
2nd place: Shamil Amilov
MMA: A-Adult, Featherweight
1st place: Irasuka Khizviev
2nd place: Gabriel Mussef
MMA: A-Adult, Lightweight
1st place: Safar Khalitov
2nd place: Ekrem Kaplan
MMA: C-Junior, Lightweight
1st place: Igor Nedoboy
2nd place: Jan-Felix Cordes
MMA: A-Adult, Welterweight
1st place: Abdelouajed Jebbam
2nd place: Kant Pasi
MMA: A-Adult, Middleweight
1st place: Mazurek Darius
2nd place: Andreas Heckmann
Thanks to good fights and the supporting fight-teams it was a good event and GAMMAF is looking forward to application for the East German Open Amateur MMA Championship 2017 which takes place on June the 17th at Tenniscenter Weißensee-Berlin in Berlin.
